Jerry Cohen came up with the idea for Ebbets Field Flannels in 1988, after his hunt for an original flannel jersey led him to a warehouse containing bolts of baseball flannel dating back to the 1940s. He bought one bolt at a time and started reproducing the quality baseball flannels and ballcaps of yesteryear. The company focuses on non-major league history such as the Negro Leagues, the Pacific Coast League and minor league teams dating back to the late 1800s.
