TENDER X OLD NORTH SPECIAL INDIAN BLACK 900 DENIM JACKET
Tender is a British company that draws inspiration in antique workwear and machinery, especially from the Great British Steam Age. The important face of Tender is the nurture which is put into the clothes: in their research, design, manufacture, and wear.
The last time Tender produced this jacket was almost seven years ago. It is one of our absolute favorites with extra special detailing. The pockets are lined with a limited fabric that is highlighted in this seasons shirt offerings. The jacket is dyed with Indian Black derived from naturally occurring iron oxide in India. Indian Black has been used as a pigment in the West since 77CE. This natural dye is not as predictable as synthetic dyes and causes interesting and desirable fading and inconsistencies. The reproduction of this jacket marks 5 year anniversary of Old North. We are so thankful to William Kroll of Tender for all the hard work he put in to making this jacket for us.
